Our Story

From Australia to NYC.

Star Laundromats is a family-owned and operated laundry service company run by Jason and Jane Worme. The story of how it came to exist could be a novel one day, but here is the short version.

Jason and Jane made the bold decision to move their family of seven from regional Australia to New York City, seeking new experiences outside their hometown. Fast forward two years, and they are the proud owners of two laundromats providing residential and commercial laundry services, dry cleaning, shoe cleaning and repair, tailoring, and wedding dress preservation throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn.

With decades of combined military and corporate experience in logistics, operations, and customer engagement, Jason and Jane are equipped to deliver outstanding communication and customization to each of their customers.

Their eldest son, Xavier, designs their engaging digital presence. Hamish, their second eldest, leads sales with unmatched passion. He excels in building new customer relationships every day.
