Bath Beach was a Beachside location that first became popular as a weekend seaside destination for New York’s elite back in the Gilded Age. It now has a playground and some fabulous family-friendly facilities to enjoy while Star Laundromats takes care of your washing for the day. A great day alwasy starts with a coffee and in the Bath Beach area, this can be bought from Cairo RX on Bath Avenue. It serves locals and tourists amazing coffee and great brunch options so make sure you arrive hungry.
Once you have a coffee in hand, head for the beach. There is a pedestrian overpass that enables you to hit the sand for a stroll. Watch the roller bladers do their thing and enjoy that old-school beachside feel that you get in Bath Beach. If you have your little ones with you for the day, there are two parks to choose from, both with great facilities. When you get the lunch-time munchies, head inland again and check out one of the many delicious food options on offer in this quiet but diverse little part of Brooklyn. The Star Laundromats team recommends Rob’s of Brooklyn for some homestyle Italian or if you are feeling like something a little fancy for your day of leisure, then head to the ASSAIA Club and enjoy some Georgian fare. They are side-by-side so you don’t have to decide until you get there.
