In this beautiful area of Brooklyn you are almost completely surrounded by water which makes for some fantastic respite from the concrete jungle that is NYC. First things first though - coffee. The best spot to grab a coffee and perhaps some sweet treats on your day off, is the Duet Bakery. Here you will find a coffee very worthy of your day of respite and perhaps a larger breakfast if you are after more sustenance.

Once you have enjoyed a coffee it is time for some Mill Basin wandering. Lindowner Park offers some green space to meander through if you opted for a second take-out coffee.

Your Mill Basin day out involves retail therapy at the Kings Plaza Mall. There is so much to do and see at the Plaza that you will lose yourself in some shopping and hopefully find some fantastic bargains. With your arms full and your tummy empty, it is time to find some lunch. The Mall has plenty of great options to take care of any lunch time cravings you may have. For a food court option we recommend Halal Bros Grill. For a fancier feed head out of the Plaza and enjoy a sit-down lunch at Chateau Yaffa. Once you have filled your tummy as full as your shopping bags, it will be time to head for home and enjoy the remainder of your laundry-free day.
